The Billy Franks song, Christmas in Jersey, has been picked up by a radio station called The Breeze 106.3, serving Atlantic, Cape May and Ocean counties. They have the song and an ad for it on their website at www.breezeradio.com. They are debuting it at 9:30 AM on Monday December 12th. Anyone in the listening area can check it out via radio or listen to it live through their website's streaming radio. |

That's right folks, Billy will be doing a gig this Saturday, December 3rd, at Merryfields in Oaklyn, NJ. Merryfields, for
those not in the know, is on the White Horse Pike. The fun starts at 9:30.
Rumour has it some folks that have been shooting a certain movie may play a certain trailer at the gig.
One thing is for sure, though, this will be Billy's only gig while he's in town during this stint of being in town.

Before Bill headed back for England, everyone went up to New York City to have a meeting with a Grammy winning record producer, regarding the album. No recording artist pursuits today, but an important jaunt, none-the-less.
The Reuters building would provide the location. One only wonders how the guys will fit all this footage into the span of a movie. I concur, it screams for a mini series! Bigger than Roots! |

With some extra stuff to tend to in Los Angeles, Bill and Mick have returned there temporarily while Mike and Gary have come home to Philly. The second leg of the shoot is winding down, along with the Summer, but not without a little fanfare!
Billy is playing Merryfield's this Thursday night when he gets back so he won't have much time to rest when he gets home. Take this opportunity to come out and ask the guys, in person, how the trip was and home everything has been going. They do have some good stories to tell (those that can be told without spoiling the movie!) so let's all have fun and welcome them back when they hit the bar! |

On this day, August 13th, 2005, the year of our Lord, and the year of making really good documentaries, let it be known that the crew of Tribute This! had it good when 2 of the artists they are pursuing played the same city (well, the city and a burb) in the same day.
The team was split, celebs were pursued, doors watched, shows viewed and listened to... but how did it all end up, aside from the guys spending the next day eating strange hamburgers in the old workplace of Bryan Adams (a 3rd artist tied into the weekend's activities!)?
After all was said and done, the guys hurried back across the border to catch a flight out of Seattle so they could get out to LA, Vegas, Frisco...it's just insane. But I've gotten ahead of myself! |

The guys are pursuing an icon of rock and roll at a gig in Seattle, and following along into Vancouver tomorrow. In fact, they may have a chance to meet up with another celeb, as luck would have it there's another artist on our list performing in Vancouver the very same day!

After a short stint back in the UK, the crew is back home is the U.S. to start on the second leg of the shoot. This leg promises to send the boys coast to coast, with some time in the Great White North, as well.
To say the Internet and online booking is a great advantage to making movies nowadays would be a huge understatement. Image if the pics of these guys booking flights consisted of them on the phone all day. I think their ears would start to bleed. As it sits, their fingers are the only things that should be in pain right now.

After more than two weeks in Europe, and visiting 6 different cities, the boys take a much needed breather and come back to South Jersey for a rest, before heading back out into the world on August 8th to continue their quest for celebs in the U.S. If you see them in your travels, do give them money for food, cab rides, gas (the cost of gas alone could bankrupt this project!), bridge tolls, etc. because they've got a lot ahead of them still. |
